Terms and Conditions and Personal Data Policy
These terms and conditions and personal data policy (the "Terms and Conditions") cover all programmes, workshops and activities ("Programmes") run by SM Universe (Singapore) Pte Ltd ("SMU Sg") and/or its associated companies, partners, agents, employees, consultants and vendors.
By signing up for any of our Programmes or participating in any of Programmes, participants of our Programmes hereby agree to these Terms and Conditions.
SMU Sg reserves the right at its absolute discretion to make changes to the Programmes (including but not limited to the schedule, timing, content and instructors/programme hosts) without prior notice to participants. SMU Sg will however endeavour to give notice of material changes to the Programmes.
There will be no refund of any fees paid for Programmes. If at least 14 days prior notice is given, SMU Sg may at its absolute discretion offer another Programme of similar or lower cost to a participant.
Participants shall follow the instructions of instructors/programme hosts and SMU Sg staff/agents/partners or for safe and effective Programmes. Participants shall also have the responsibility and obligation to themselves and others to participate in Programmes in a safe and reasonable way.
Participants will not participate in any dance classes under the influence of any medical drugs, drugs or alcohol, or if they suffer from or have any illnesses or injury.
Participants shall treat instructors/programme hosts, SMU Sg staff/agents/partners and other Participants with respect.
SMU Sg reserves the right at its absolute discretion to suspend or cancel the right of a Participant to attend its programmes if a Participates violates any of the Terms and Conditions.
SMU Sg and/or its associated companies, partners, agents, employees, consultants and vendors shall not be held liable or responsible in any way whatsoever for any accident, loss, injury or death sustained by any Participant or anyone accompanying the Participant in relation to any Programmes, however occurring or arising other than as a result of gross negligence or wilful blindness on the part of SMU Sg and/or its associated companies, partners, agents, employees, consultants and vendors. Participants or anyone accompanying Participants shall hold SMU Sg and/or its associated companies, partners, agents, employees, consultants and vendors harmless from all claims, liabilities, damages, causes of action, actions and lawsuits which may be brought against them by or on behalf of a Participant for any such any accident, loss, injury or death.
All property brought by Participants is at the Participant’s own risk and SMU Sg and/or its associated companies, partners, agents, employees, consultants and vendors shall not be responsible or liable in any way, whatsoever and howsoever, for any loss of or damage to the Participant’s property.
SMU Sg reserves the right claim damages for any loss of or damage to any part of premises used for Programmes, including but not limited to the floor, mirrors, lights, equipment, lighting, sound system, TVs, monitors and camera, video or recording equipment, howsoever caused by the Participant. All intellectual property rights in respect of work products, lessons, teaching methods, techniques, syllabus, materials, marketing materials, videos, photos and choreography shall belong to SMU Sg.
Participants agrees that his/her personal data (including but not limited to contact details) may be collected, maintained, stored, used and disclosed by SMU Sg to enable SMU Sg to provide services to the Participant, for marketing to Participants, for data analysis and for SMU Sg’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, industry codes and guidelines and for internal audit.
Photographs or video images of Participants or those accompanying Participants may be taken during Programmes and Participants or those accompanying Participants agree that SMU Sg may use and publish such photographs or video recordings in its publications, website, social media channels or other communication channels.
Withdrawal of consent for the collection, use and/or disclosure of personal data may be made by email at info@smuniverse.sg
SMU Sg may, from time to time and at its absolute discretion, amend these Terms and Conditions without prior notice. The amended Terms and Conditions will be posted on this website.
These Terms and Conditions shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore and the Courts of the Republic of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
